I just found this site today and find it most interesting. I did not know that we were related to Greathouse.
My father was Oron Witherspoon
His father was Leslie Witherspoon
His father was Samuel Witherspoon
His father was Younger Witherspoon
Many of the Witherspoons married Neighbors (yes, that was their name)
Most of them lived in Kentucky and moved to the Bonham, Fannin, Co, Texas area. Leslie Witherspoon settled in Ector, Texas.
I have not done any genealogy research so I am sure that I do not know all the terminology.
