Herman Groethausen 1670 / John (Johanne) Greathouse 1756

Ive been reading  the History of Harrison Co W. VA. by Henry Haymond. I have a question. On this site you have that John married Phebe Thompson, then later Milly Gillispy. Ok in the book under 'a List of Marriages Celebrated in th County from 1784-1794' pgs. 447-451. On April 8 1793 it has 2 entries for John Greathouse marring Pheby Thompson and the John Greathouse marring Milly Gillespy. Were there 2 Johns or is the book wrong? Little confused now. Thanks
