Homer Greathouse

I am looking for information on my mother's family.  Her father's name was Homer Greathouse.  Her mother's name was Mary Buck Greathouse.  My mother always told me that we were all Cherokee Indians and she really looks like one and so do I.  She was born in Paden City WVa. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

In our Harmon Greathouse 1750 and Mary Ann family we have Homer Greathouse, no wife listed, son of Joseph V. Greathouse of Wetzel WV and Mary Carpenter

In Jacob Greathouse  of Ga  we have Homer Greathouse born 1885 son of Green H. Greathouse of AL and Mary Whatley

In our John Greathouse  and Sarah McDade we have L. Homer Greathouse born 1889, son of James K Greathouse of Jackson WV and Virginia Argabrite

We have other Homers, with known wives, not name of Mary.

There are a number of Bucks in the John Greathouse and Sarah family and they are centered in West VA, which might be a research clue.
