My great-grandmother was Maria Greathouse Story, 4th of 5 children in this family. Some of her letters survive as well as Civil War pension documentation. I was named for my grandmother, Alice Ann Story Parker. Maria's husband was, indeed, Solomon Story but he DID NOT DIE IN 1859! Solomon died at the Battle of Vicksburg 22 May 1863, two weeks after their youngest child was born. The Solomon who died in March 1859 in IL was probably his uncle, the eldest brother of his father Moses Story.
Second note is a disagreement as to placing James Greathouse in this family. One of the things we have in our family papers is a list of Maria's brothers. I believe if she had a brother James, he would have been included in the list.
