1787, Jun 11 - Land: William Wilson to David Greathouse, Bonds Forrest Resurveyed

William Wilson to David Greathouse

This Indenture made the Eleventh day of June seven hundred and Eighty Seven [11 Jun 1787] Between William Wilson of Baltimore County Farmer of the one part and David Greathouse of the aforesaid County Farmer of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Wilson for in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty eight pounds hard Money to him the said William Wilson in hand paid by the said David Greathouse at or before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he the said William Wilson doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these present doth fully and absolutely give Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoffee and confirm unto him the said the David Greathouse all that part of a tract or parcel of Land Called Bonds Forrest Resurveyed which is contained within the following metes and Bounds Courses and distances Vizt.

Beginning at the beginning of the said Bonds Forrest Resurveyed and running thence

north twenty two degrees East sixty five perches

then north seventy six degrees East thirty perches

then south sixty two degrees East Eighteen perches

then south two degrees and a half west ninty four perches

then south eighty two degrees west seventy one perches

then south twenty eight degrees west thirty six perches

to the End of ninety two perches

on the south sixty two degrees west one hundred and twenty perch line of the whole tract

then turning with the two following courses Vizt.

north sixty two degrees west twenty Eight perch

then north thirty degrees East seventy two perches to the end of the original tract

and then with a straight line to the beginning

Containing forty six acres of Land more or less Together with all and singular the premises and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and to Hold the said forty six acres of Land and premises With their appurtenances unto him the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns forever to the sole property use and behoof of him the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns forever and to no other use Interest or purpose whatsoever and the said William Wilson for himself and his heirs Executors and Administrators doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns that he the said William Wilson at the time of the Ensealing and Delivery hereof hath in himself good right full power and Lawful Authority to give grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and Confirm the aforesaid land and premises unto the said David Greathouse his heirs and Assigns forever and that the aforesaid land and premises at the time of the Ensealing and deliver hereof is free and clear of and from all former bargains sales and other Incumbrances whatsoever and that this present Grant and sale of the said Land and premises to him the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns forever shall and will warrant and for ever defend of and from all and all manner of persons whatsoever Claiming any Right Title or Interest unto from by or under him the said William Wilson his heirs or assigns or by from or under him them or Either of them And Lastly William Wilson doth covenant promise and agree for himself and his heirs Executors Administrators to and with the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns that he the said William Wilson his heirs and executors Administrators shal and will from time and at al times here after at the Reasonable request and at the Cost and Charge in the Law of him the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns make such furher and other Grant and assurance for the more sure making and confirming the aforesaid land and promises unto the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns forever according to the truer intent and meaning hereof as he shall be by his Counsel learned in the Law be Reasonably devised advised Required provided such other Grant Contains no other warrant then is herein Contained In Witness whereof the said the William Wilson hath hereto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first above Written.

Received the day and year first within written of David Greathouse the Sum of one hundred and thirty Eight pounds hard money it being in full for the within mentioned consideration money.

Baltimore County to wit Onthe 11th day of June 1787 Came the within named William Wilson before us the subscribers two Justices of the peace for said County and acknowledged the within deed to be his act and the part of a tract of Land thereby bargained and sold to be the right Title and Estate of the within named David Greathouse his heirs and assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning thereof at the same time came Catherine the wife of the said William Wilson who being Examined out of hearing of her husband who acknowledged all her right of Dower to the said bargained land to be the Right and Estate of the said David Greathouse his heirs and assigns for ever.
