Gallia County Chronology

Gallia County was founded from Washington County in 1803; Gallia lost to Scioto in 1804; Gallia lost to creation of Lawrence in 1815; Gallia lost to creation of Jackson in 1816; Lawrence fully organized, detached from Gallia in 1817; Gallia lost to creation of Meigs in 1819.
