1731, Aug 7 - Will: Jacob Kobel, Witness: Henry Groathouse

Jacob Kobel of Tulpahako.

"am visited by the hand of God and I think my end is near at hand". "let my wife and children know my last will and testament". "my body you may bury among the Christian graves", etc.

To Anna Mary Kobel, my beloved wife, all my estate--the plantation with dwelling house and bard, all the moveables, etc. until the younges child come to age and she remains a widow, and then to have one-third, and the rest to be divided equally among the children, only son Henry to have one share more than the others.

(something about Temberman and Isaach La Favour). My debt to Henry Timberman you are to pay when the estate is parted. Do not sell the mill without Gottfried Fidler and Nicholas Shaver who I set as guardians over my children, and wife and children to do nothing without their council.

(The will ends with a very pious exhortation). "Lord I wait for thy salvation".
